Conan the Legend #0 Was a good starter book from Busiek and Nord. Good art and a great story that is sure to tease plenty to buy the monthy next year (myself included). Nord's art is complimented well with Stewrat's colors. If you've ever liked Conan, you need to see this one! [ A- ]
Gotham Central #13 is consistantly the best Batman title every month. The inclusion of a new inker seemed a very seamless transistion. And the story is always top notch. I have yet to be let down by Rucka or Brubaker. Lark's art captures real grit. [ A ]
Spectacular Spidey #6 is getting better. Jenkins and Ramos have yet to capture the lightning in a bottle of the Green Goblin run. And I didn't really warm up to the Venom storyline of the first five. But I think They are really hitting a stride here that is different than the Goblin arc but still familar to those that liked it. I really miss Sandra Hope on inks but Faucher is keeping up to the Ramos now with this last issue. More good stuff coming down the pipe on this title. Ramos' Doc Ock is killer! Not to mention this is the ONLY Marvel title I am buying on a regular basis. [ B ]
Adventures of MIA #1 was a treat. The first story I had read in Bride of Monkeysuit but with the incusion of a second story I had not read and the backup feature about a historical aviator rounded the issue out well. Gorgious artwork from Enrico Casarosa, a storyboard artist for Pixar! Looking forward to more. [ B+ ]
