The Death of the Pamphet format supporters are embattled against those with the opposite stance. Even Peter David has put his 2¢ in on this subject. While I myself have been back and forth over this topic as well. Some weeks I can easily be sucked into the Trades section and abandon the monthlies/pamphlets altogether. Steve Bennett of Dark Star Books and John Robinson of Graham Crackers Comics both make good arguments for their respective causes. But neither of these reasons is why I cannot seem to reach a decision on this topic. One claims format is the future the other says content. I say customers budget is the determining factor. When I have too many bills to pay on a given week I'll just pick up a couple monthlies to feed my addiction for the weekend. But then after I get caught up again I'll get back into the trades again. Not to mention that this argument has started over the sales of Shonen Jump which available in finer grocery stores everywhere. And the comics and content these retailers sell is only available in 3500 direct market locations in the US. That ain't helpin'!
The there are these arguments as well from:

Gail Burt of Metropolis Comics
