Finally...nearly 50 years later

Being the atrociously slow reader that I am it is with great pride that I can now say that I have read The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring BEFORE seeing the movie. Yes, that's right. The third and final movie is about to be released and I have seen none of them (No, I have not been living under a rock). LotR is such a legendary literary work that I could not bring myself to see the movie without reading the masterpiece first. Hopefully I will be seeing the movie soon and have the material fresh in my mind to see if the players were true to the source. For being originally published in1954 I can see how influential this epic has become.
